How does payment work? Silent generators are designed to minimize sound and optimize airflow through the generator canopy. Any restriction of the airflow in any way will lead to the generator overheating and it will cause damage to the generator.We do not recommend using any after-market silencing solutions, this will likely void your warranty and could be a fire hazard.Generators should be installed outside with at least one meter clear around them to allow for optimal working conditions. DO NOT install inside a room without appropriate ventilation. Will my generator rust? The standard canopies are made of powder-coated mild steel. While this provides some protection against the elements, rust may still form over time. In coastal areas, it’s advisable to regularly wash the generator to prevent salt accumulation.OPTIONAL upgrades to an aluminum canopy and a galvanized base are available for certain models. For models not eligible for this upgrade, we can refer you to a third-party service provider who offers specialized coatings. Both the aluminum and galvanized upgrades, as well as the specialized coatings, offer enhanced rust resistance, making them more suitable for coastal conditions. For sustained operation, it's advisable to operate a generator below 70% of its prime rated capacity to ensure longevity and optimal performance. Continuously running a generator between 70-85% of its capacity can risk overheating, with the exact threshold influenced by factors such as ventilation, humidity, and ambient temperature. The generator isn't designed to handle its full load immediately.
